Our Missionary Journey in Gulu Uganda

“In March 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic began, God led us to Uganda for a month-long evangelical mission. When lockdowns started, we couldn’t travel, but our commitment to ministering grew stronger, prompting us to utilize various media platforms to reach people.

In July 2020, the Lord Jesus appeared to us in a dream, directing us to Gulu in Northern Uganda, an area affected by over 20 years of conflict. Despite never having visited this region before, we felt a strong calling and began fervently praying for guidance on how to proceed amidst the uncertainty.

And in August, God again spoke to us in a dream, urging us to prepare for the journey ahead. The winds of change began to blow as the government gradually relaxed movement restrictions, permitting three individuals per vehicle. Heeding the call, we packed a few essentials and set forth towards Gulu, hearts aflame with anticipation.

Arriving in Gulu:
Upon our arrival in Gulu, we encountered daunting obstacles. The vibrant church communities were shuttered, home visits were forbidden, and we found ourselves at a crossroads with no clear path for ministry. In desperation, we turned to fervent prayer, seeking divine direction. On the second night, God graced us with another prophetic dream, guiding us to initiate our mission through radio ministry while also encouraging us to negotiate more favorable broadcasting prices. Acting upon this revelation, we reached out to Radio Choice FM Gulu, and within a week of sharing the Word over the airwaves, calls began to flood in from people yearning for prayer and support.

Our Mission Established

By our second week in Gulu, a breakthrough occurred: the government announced the reopening of churches under specific guidelines. The new believers we had connected with through radio outreach eagerly inquired about our plans for worshiping together. This ignited in us a passionate drive to secure a fellowship venue. We rallied together, seeking assistance to locate a place where we could gather and worship. The day before we were to visit potential properties, God graced me with another dream that led us to a location called Pudyek Pece. We embraced this revelation as a clear directive. Upon our visit to inspect available properties, we discovered one nestled in Pece Pudyek. Despite being prompted to explore alternative options, we felt an undeniable pull towards this site, knowing it had already been confirmed in our dreams. We soon rented the property, transforming it into a vibrant hub of fellowship.

Since that pivotal moment, we have poured our hearts and souls into reaching the resilient people of this war-torn region. The journey has not been without its share of trials, yet through every challenge, the Lord has remained steadfast—infusing us with strength, guidance, and unwavering support. His presence continually uplifts us as we strive to spread His love and healing in Gulu.”

To God be all the glory! Amen. Shalom.
